Around Sacramento, specialist offices tend to cluster near hospitals and in medical office parks, and wait times for a consultation run from a few days for an endodontist to several weeks for a busy orthodontist. Most consultations across California are free or low-cost and come with a written treatment plan and price; ask whether the fee is in-network for your plan, what sedation options exist and how many visits the treatment takes. A second opinion is normal for implants, jaw surgery and full-mouth reconstruction, and reputable specialists expect it.

Sacramento is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Sacramento follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

I have never had an appointment where I didn’t feel pain during the procedure until today. (I have had a lot of dental work) Hands down the best experience. Will never think twice about getting a root canal as long as this Dr can do it.

I have a lot of anxiety about going to the dentist, but my experience with this endodontist and his entire team was exceptional. Everyone was professional, friendly, and made me feel completely at ease. They turned a stressful situation into a very pleasant visit. Highly recommend!

Why it has taken me this long to leave a review for Dr. Barack, I don't know. The first time I saw Dr. Barack was at least ten years ago, I had never had a root canal, I had never been given local anesthesia in my mouth before. Needless to say, I was terrified. He gave me some topical to numb my gums, his assistant held my hand, and he proceeded to numb me up. He was gentle and he paid attention to my body language so he would know if it was painful. He did my root canal and I never felt any pain, or discomfort. I did get tired of having my mouth open for so long but hey, I was getting a root canal. The next time, the experience was the same, minus the assistant holding my hand. I have had 5 root canals since then, all with Dr. Barack. He gives me topical, I always ask. He explains everything, he listens if I feel even a minimum amount of pain. I hope I never have to go to a different Endo, I know I would be terrified all over again. I saw him today, and I knew what to expect. And when I think all I did was pick his name off a list that my dental insurance company gave me, of Endo doctors that were contracted. I totally got lucky with my find. I've never had any problems with my ro

***UPDATE*** both of my teeth that Dr.Barak worked on (root canals) have broken off. I now have no tooth structure to hold anything on in place of the missing teeth. After consulting with my dentist and an oral surgeon the only way to repair the damage done is by having implants placed. Which will cost a fortune. *** I have had major dental work many times throughout my life. My root canal experience with Dr. Barak was by far the most painful and traumatic experience I have ever encountered. I literally sobbed in the chair and had to take a break. He was super aggressive and his technique for administering anesthetic is nothing short of medieval. No topical anesthetic, just straight to it, I jumped in the chair and he just continued to stab me multiple times when it was clear that I was very uncomfortable. I was also given so much anesthesia I was numb behind my eyeballs for about 7 hours. I have been in pain since leaving his office and was not prescribed any pain medication or antibiotics, he recommended that I go through my regular doctor for those things. Looking back, I should have stopped my appointment and left but I had maxed out my insurance for the year and they were wil
